Notes from your executive director:

Execs will have this fiscal year’s annual meeting (members only) on October 23.  We will be voting on removing part of the verbiage in Article IV, Section two of our bylaws.  The board will explain why they are asking for a vote on this.  The meeting will be somewhat of a town hall format before votes are cast.

  1. Pikes Peak Ascent and Marathon is this weekend. Barr Trail will be crowded. Hike with care with supplies from The Colorado Running Company! (JEFF TARBERT)

  2. Colorado Springs Cleaning Supply is proud to announce that we are the new suppliers to the VA Clinic at Fillmore and Centennial. Can we be the new supplier for your company? Call me to see the new washroom systems. (DAVID HORWITZ)

  3. Ski and snowboard gear is beginning to arrive at Christy Sports. Our fall event starts on October 18th. Seasonal rentals will be available beginning Sept. 27th at Christy Sports. We will also be offering kids bundles: Monarch season pass and Christy Sports seasonal rentals. (MIKE LLOYD)

  4. Reminding everyone of our VSQG program for small businesses, schools and nonprofits. Easy and low cost way to dispose of hazardous chemicals. (JOHN COLE)

Doors open at 5:30pm, program at 6:30pm.  See the flier in our newsletter :)  The Greenberg Center for Learning and Tolerance is bringing in David Siders, politics editor of Politico from Sacramento. He interviewed 12 people in CS about Independent voting, including Mayor Yemi. You can go on The Greenberg Center for Learning and Tolerance website to see more information.
